Mix in 80grams (3 Tablespoons) of Dahlia Food per square metre.</li></ul>Now, time to get those hands dirty and get planting!<ul><li>After planting: we recommend side dressings of our Dahlia Food throughout the growing period. Around 50grams (2 Tablespoons) per square metre every few weeks.</li></ul>

However, if the bulbs stay too wet before they sprout, there&#x2019;s a rot risk, which might explain why some didn&#x2019;t grow this time.A helpful tip for next season: Many gardeners start their Dahlias in pots or tubs. This allows you to easily control watering until they&#x2019;ve sprouted. Why haven't all of my Dahlia flowered?

As a general rule, we recommend planting your bulbs soon after receiving them. For a little more detail though, please see below guidelines:

As a general rule, we recommend planting your bulbs soon after receiving them.&#xA0;For a little more detail though, please see below guidelines:<ul><li data-start="301" data-end="489">Spring Bulbs&#xA0;should be planted between late April and mid June. We usually start planting our Spring bulb crop from the end of May, and continue through to around the middle of June. Yes, they can be planted earlier and later, but we have always found that late May - mid June works best.</li><li data-start="301" data-end="489">Garlic and Shallots should be planted soon after receiving them. The old rule used to be to plant them on the shortest day (mid June) but with the changing seasons of late, we find an earlier planting is beneficial. That being said, they can be planted all the way through to July.</li><li data-start="301" data-end="489">Lilies (Oriental, Xmas, Asiatic) should be planted as soon as you receive the bulbs.&#xA0;This is generally between the months of late June through to September. Lilies don&apos;t like to be out of soil, so the less time they&apos;re out of the ground the better.</li><li data-start="301" data-end="489">Peonies should be planted as soon as you receive them - again, Peonies are another variety that don&apos;t like being out of the ground. We lift Peonies around mid/late June, and replant in July.</li><li data-start="301" data-end="489">Summer Bulbs (which include the all important Dahlia) should be planted after the risks of frost have passed. Ideally, they should be planted in October or November. However they can happily be planted all the way through to January (we usually plant ours in late November/December/ and into January)</li></ul>
